"Well, guys, Michael Scott and I are just finishing the first in our series of vampire novels for Thomas Dunne Books and St. Martin's Press. "Vampyres of Hollywood". I had a great time writing it and I hope it's as much fun to read. And I had a ball working with Rob Zombie and Malcolm McDowell on Rob's Halloween. Get ready!" - Adrienne

I'm the middle of the book. Thank you so much for your insightful book and sharing your experiences dealing with acting, experiences in the 50s-70s, on Grease and Maude, relationships, and psychological issues and emotions dealing with life's challenges. It is helping me through my transition and sleepless nights.
Thank you! I thought you were very sympathetic and interesting on MAUDE dvd...I hope the second season is available!
Kimberly

Hi Adrienne,
What an honor to sign your guestbook. I'm 42 years old and was just telling my wife the reasons why I found and find you so sexy. We were looking up the show Maude and I couldn't resist reminding my wife about the first time I saw you in Escape from New York when I was just 16. Please don't take this in the wrong way when I share with you how easily I still find you to be one of the most sensual and attractive women of all time. Thanks for being you.
Ron

Adrienne,
I do understand this is a little delayed, however I recently concluded the viewing of the Carnivale series (on DVD) and in doing some research on your life's successes I felt rather motivated to send this little ol' message (not really knowing if it would ever meet your eyes). My thoughts were of congratulatory words on your incredibly fine performance in your role at what I referred to as "The Snake Lady." I hadn't seen any of your work for years and therefore was rather humbled in your so-very-fine achievement of someone I had not seen (in the performing arts) for so long. May you always find a successful answer to your question of "what's next to do?"
Kindest regards,
Johnny S.

Adrienne Barbeau appearing at Collectormania12. Cant wait to see the actress of two of my favourite films Escape from New York and The Fog, Oh ok and cannonball run! Think i better buy the book too.

From the very beginning of Time there have been manifestations of Absolute Perfection. These are all magnificently beautiful to the eye and symmetrically pure throughout.
If you are ever close to Oklahoma I would love to hear you speak and be a part of that moment.
Walt

hey Adrienne, just wanna thank you again for that HUG you gave me and my son at the 'Fan Expo' this year! I'm looking forward to meeting you again... till then, all my love,
Daniel

Your beauty is as timeless as your talents. I have followed your career with great interest and am inspired by your energy and continued success. Thank you for all the years of joy you have given me and your fans.
Marc Herman

scott

Saw you last year on the subway. I offred you my seat. You said thank you. I did not recognize you until you were getting off the train. I said loved you in the fog. You said and I quote" That damn light house was so windy to climb down to that you better have liked it! Then you laughed! I did too. Thanks for a great moment and all the best.

Hi Adrienne,
You are so nice! I have been bragging about you and your kindness since I saw you in Erie, Pa., at the Eerie Horrorfest. You are one of the nicest, most genuine people I have met at a function like this. You gave everyone undivided attention, didn't hurry anyone, did whatever they asked with a smile, and made everyone feel like you enjoyed meeting them too. I had heard you were really sweet in person and you certainly lived up to your reputation. You put up with my shenanigans and will be making my friend Debi very, very happy (I haven't given her anything yet, Nov.1). I was telling her that you are writing a vampire book, and she had the same question I did...if you don't really like scary movies, or to be scared, what was your inpsiration as you wrote a vampire book? Of course, now I can't wait to get her that when it comes out, it's right up her alley. Anyway, you looked great! I've been bragging on that too ;-) I'm just so glad I got a chance to meet you. I've ordered your book and can't wait to read it! Thank you for being so kind to me, it means more than you know. Keep your light shining, we need you :-)
Take care, Tanya

Adrienne, my mom and I both enjoyed meeting you when you came to Erie. I really wanted to come to see you again on wed. and to hear what you had to say about "The Fog" I have always been a fan loved Escape from New York. I would have enjoyed talking to you a little more. My Mom was really excited to meet you and she was all over the news on Tues. night. She did not see the news but the first thing she said to me "did I look alright" ha-ha. I hope to see you again and I am really glad you came to see us in Erie.

Adrienne,
Thank you for your inspirational book "There Are Worse Things I Could Do". While browsing at Book Soup, I saw your book sitting separately from the other books. I recognized your picture and picked it up. Its just what I needed for inspiration. My Mother passed away 4 months ago and I was looking for some "Feel Good Inspirational" material. Some how, your book speaks to a part of me that needs to hear what you have to say. We met at Riverton Productions in North Hollywood where I was Manager in the '90's. You were there putting together your voice over demo. We only spoke briefly. Yet, I always felt a sense of well being when we did.

I wish you well and many blessing in all of your endeavors.

Best regards,
MATTHEW RILEY

Ms. Barbeau: Hope to meet you in person on Oct 10th in Erie, Pa for the Horror fest. Always been a big fan of yours. After reading your bio on line, I must read your book. Hope you have time for questions.
Tim Smith

Ms. Barbeau, I've been meaning to write since I read your autobiography some months ago. Just wanted to say how much I've always liked "Swamp Thing." It has it all: action; feisty, resourceful heroine Alice Cable; "freshwater swim scene"; those great pseudo-Nietzscheisms from Louis Jourdan. It was a great mix of horror and humor, like "Tremors" and "Return of the Living Dead." I noted some of this in my 1997 book, "Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Film Sequels, Series and Remakes."
Mr. Kim Holston

Ms. Barbeau, The Fog has always been one of my favorites. You and that lighthouse intrigued me so much that my wife and I took a day off from our San Francisco convention and discovered Pt. Reyes national seashore and lighthouse. That was a lot of steps, wind, and FOG! Keep up the great work and you still look great.
Steve

I think I saw you as Hodel.
It was January 1972, on an over-the-weekend school outing. The only actor I recognized at the time was Zero Mostel; but I still remember what a superlative performance it was.
Matthew Joseph Harrington

Dear Adrienne;
Sure was great meeting and posing with you in Toronto on Saturday! I will always treasure the memory. Hope that I didn't offend you!!!!
Would like a snail address so that I can pass along cellphone picture once I've downloaded it, hence my entry:)
Love,
Ian

P.S. Forgot to mention that I enjoyed your appearances in "The George Carlin Show", "Match Game '74", the 80s version of "Pyramid" plus "The Cannonball Run."

Hi!  Just wanted to say I love the site and keep up the good work!
By the way, you've got great nails!  What do you do to get them to look so gorgeous?
Jill

I met Tom Bjornson recently and he lent me his copy of your book. I enjoyed it very much. Especially the references to your first years in San Jose.  I remember many of the seventh and eighth grade references and the discussions about the relative historical importance of Rome and Armenia. I also remember your brains were your claim to fame.
Was the Eve referred to in the book Eva Hagopian?

Your perseverance has been remarkable. If it counts at this late date I'm glad it yielded career and personal rewards.
Joe Goglio (Monroe '59)

Love her in all of her movies, either a bitch, snake lady, starlet, secret agent and Billie... ur the gr8test.
Hugs
Robert (already 'friend' on myspace)

Just saw the Fog for the first time since about 1981-82 last night on AMC.
Darn did you ever look and sound so sexy as the KAB Owner and broadcaster.
Look forward to seeing you in August at Fan Expo in Toronto. I'm hoping I can get your autograph and perhaps pose for a photo with some members of my Star Trek Fan Club Chapter.

I enjoyed Adrienne in the fog.

I love this site! Adrienne is great:-)

Hi Ms. Barbeau, when I was a boy, my Dad bought your poster and made a frame for it! My father's no longer alive, but I remember your poster, it remeains my favorite to this day! And I'm 43 years old now.  I wish you and your family all the best!
Scott

Dear Ms. Barbeau,

A new fan here! I bought your book out of curiosity (the lovely cover photo did not hurt either) and found myself laughing out loud, crying, and thinking things like, "Oh, I can relate to that!" I am not an actor in Hollywood; I am an editor in Chicago -- but I found your book to be universally appealing. Thank you for such an amazing read! I am holding on to the book to read again!

Because of my revitalized interest in your work, I have begun revisiting your filmography. Of course, I always loved your work in "Batman: The Animated Series" (sexiest Catwoman ever!), "Creepshow" (the best!!!) and "Back to School," but I also find myself renting films I have never seen ("Swamp Thing", "Cannonball Run", "The Convent", etc.) and buying DVDs of your TV series "Carnivale" and "Maude" (coming soon!!). Thank you so much for being such a monumentally talented and beautiful person! People like you restore my faith in "the Hollywood star".

I wish you and your family all the best, and I wish you the best of luck with your future acting and writing endeavors. I can't wait to see what you do next!
Blessings,
Jody

I'm glad to see that "Maude" is coming out on DVD - I've pre-ordered mine already!
Debbie

Dear Friend Adrienne,
I want to thank you again for the CD version of "There Are Worse Things I Could Do"; it and you kept me company on my long drive home from Horrorfind after sharing a lovely week-end with you and other guests. I've enjoyed the honor of our friendship, and now I feel several steps closer to you. To hear you narrate it adds a sense of immediacy to your story more strongly than a printed book does for me. All my best on your completion and publication of "Vampyres Of Hollywood", I can't wait to get a copy. My best to your growing family, and be careful not to binge on that dark chocolate.
John Wilson

Saw your book at the library and because I'm a movie fan in general and a fan of your body of work particularly, I had to read it. Thank you for being a beautiful, ethnic and talented mature WOMAN who is still working (doing your thing), on top of caring for your family. Thank you for showing that you can work through your fears and faithfully documenting your life in your journals all of those years. You are truly an inspiration for being able to open up and be vulnerable and maintain a twinkle in your eye, with GRACE!!
Sabrina

What the hell? Heard you were gonna be in Eugene. Knew you were the lady from Creepshow and The Fog, thought it would be interesting. Ended up buying your book. Got an autograph and a photo with you. And was hooked on Barbeau. Still can't figure out why I enjoyed the book so much but it was the easiest and most enjoyable read since, ever! Just moved to Manhattan and hope to visit some of your old stomping grounds you mention in the book. Wish "Garland" was still going so I could catch you live on stage. Anyway, thanks for the great read. Wish it were the abridged version so I had something to look forward to.
Billy from Eugene or NYC

Just finished your book-FANTASTIC!  Amazing that you have enough energy-you must have invented the phrase "Multi-tasking"-I'm the same age as you and get tired just thinking about it-Cheers to you girlfriend!
